About the University Of Twente and Scholarship
The University of Twente (abbreviated UT) is a public technical university in Enschede, the Netherlands (Dutch: Universiteit Twente; Pronunciation: [ynivrsitit tnt]). The university has received top 170 rankings in several central rating tables. UT was also rated the best technical university in The Netherlands by Keuzegids Universiteiten, the most significant national university ranking. The UT collaborates with the Wageningen University and Research Centre, Eindhoven University of Technology, and Delft University of Technology under the direction of 4TU. It is a part of the ECIU or European Consortium of Innovative Universities.
Specifically for talented students from the DAC’s list of Least Developed and Other Low-Income Countries, the Kipaji Scholarship Fund was created. Though they do not have the funds, students from these countries could be able to attend the University of Twente. The Kipaji Scholarship provides financial aid to students who also receive University of Twente Scholarships. The UT application process cannot be used to apply for the Kipaji scholarship. Those who are interested should include in their UTS motivation that they would like to be considered for the Kipaji scholarship as well, should they meet the conditions.
The Kipaji Scholarship Fund was started by a handful of the University of Twente’s alumni and their families. It is sponsored by the staff and past students of the university. Through an annual fundraising campaign, alumni and employees are encouraged to contribute to this scholarship fund.
Please note: Current UT students are not eligible for the Kipaji Scholarship. Additionally, the Master’s programs at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) do not offer this degree.
